The piano is Zach Sprowls' voice. With it, he composes stories that are as much ours as they are his own—affecting and true to life. Once rootless, Zach now proudly calls Scranton, Pennsylvania home. He's come to identify with the relentless heart of the city, with its long history of struggle, and its bright future. He came broken, but has found healing in music and is now ready to share his voice.
All Beginnings Are Hard is an instrumental telling of what it’s like to start over. Featuring the piano with strings and cinematic soundscapes, Zach uses elements of neoclassical minimalism, melody, and aching harmony to translate his own life experiences into a deeply-felt journey for listeners. His music has already been featured on highly-acclaimed KEXP radio; and for fans of Max Richter, Olafur Arnalds, Nils Frahm - or really anyone who knows the ups and downs of growing up - this is an experience you don’t want to miss.
