Shevory & Bell come to the Downstairs for a duo debut!
Tom Shevory started out with classical, shifted to blues and boogie woogie, and ended up with an amalgam of piano driven rock-n-roll original songs, inspired by the upright’s pedigree, but smitten by the digital’s versatility. Guitarist extraordinaire, Chris Bell, is a veteran of numerous local bands, and a founding member of current Ithaca band, Scratched Vinyl. Together they create a unique musical experience, blending the acoustic, with the electric, and the electronic, with a poetic sensibility tossed in.
